Tactics Boardshop

In 2016, Tactics opened up a shop here in Bend, Oregon where I quickly took a shop job to support my freelance hustle at the time. During my time working in the shop I was able to make a few graphics which ended up on some Tactics decks. Fast-forward to 2023 and I am working as Senior Graphic Designer for all of Tactics. I was brought on in the middle of a major rebrand and was tasked with finishing that up and establishing an updated brand book. I was also in charge of creating or direction the creation of all assets for the website, email, store signage, sale signage, event posters, stickers, and bags and boxes. I also contributed to the Tactics apparel label by creating sub brands such as the Tactics Workwear and Cascadia, creating labels and trims and contributing the occasional graphic to the main range collections.

Some campain assets for website and email.

Some graphics for Tactics branded apparel.

Tactics Workwear and Cascadia Collections were treated as sub-brands within the Tactics label and thus featured their own brandmarks and feel.

Updated branding for Tactics. After many iterations and ideas for the new icons, the move that felt right was updating the original icon developed by Aaron Draplin in the early 2000’s to better work with the updated wordmark and aesthetic.

Window graphics for shop storefronts. Only the one on the left was printed and installed.
